‘Long live critics’ says MK Stalin, hits out at actor-politician Vijay

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday, November 4, responded to actor-turned-politician Vijay’s allegation against the ruling party.
Stalin was speaking at an event in Kolathur assembly constituency, Chennai, when he addressed Vijay’s accusation.
At the executive council meeting of his party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam on Sunday, 26 resolutions were passed. Most important ones were that he and his party opposed ‘One Nation, One Election’ and ‘NEET’.
At the meeting, the actor-turned-politician also stated that the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu was not given the necessary importance to benefit a few. He also claimed that the DMK’s election manifesto was filled with lies, with the motive to capture power.
Stalin refuted these accusations and said that most poll promises had been fulfilled. “Some are claiming that our government hasn’t done anything. They should all see this, whichever party they may be. Whatever promises we made, we have accomplished and the remaining one or two will be implemented soon,” Chief Minister Stalin said in his address.
The Chief Minister said that Tamil Nadu performed well in all growth-related data released by the Union Government, thanks to the Dravidian model of governance.
“Those who are starting new parties are wishing for the destruction of DMK. I humbly wish to tell them to think about the success of the four-year government. Anna used to say in one line “long live critics” and this is what I wish to say. I don’t care (about the criticisms), our job is to work for the benefit of the people. We don’t need to respond to anyone unnecessarily,” Stalin said.
